# Create a wallet

**Step 1**: Download Argent X [browser extension](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/argent-x/dlcobpjiigpikoobohmabehhmhfoodbb)

**Step 2**: When the app opens, tap **"Create new wallet"** and follow the onboarding instructions.

**Step 3:** Read and accept the terms and Conditions/Privacy Policy

**Step 4:** Set a password and click on **Create Wallet**

**Step 5:** Click on **Finish** to get your account ready

**Step 2**: Click on **Get started** and then create a new wallet (for new users)

**Step 3**: Save your recovery key in a secure location
